Opportunities exist for cutting-edge research projects in the areas of mucosal inflammation, epithelial barrier function, and cancer development. In addition to extensive use of in-vivo approaches complemented with cell biology/molecular biochemistry to study intestinal pathophysiology, there are ongoing translational studies in the areas of small molecule inhibitors and biomarker development.
Successful candidates will join a highly productive and collaborative team of junior and senior investigators working in modern, interconnected laboratory space. Within the group, there is a strong commitment to mentorship and an excellent track record of success for both academic and industrial-career track oriented individuals. Preference will be given to individuals with expertise in molecular/cell biology, protein biochemistry of eukaryotic systems, leukocyte function/migration, and transgenic animal work. A doctoral degree and English communication skills are necessary.
Interested individuals should submit their resume to Drs. Charles Parkos (cparkos@emory.edu) or Asma Nusrat (anusrat@emory.edu).
